February 5, 2008, at 11pm EST, log onto www.reupgangrecords.net to download the latest installment by the fearsome foursome: the Clipse—brothers Pusha T and Malice—and Philly MC’s Ab-Liva and Sandman.

Volume 3, entitled the Spirit of Competition, reflects the Clipse’ resurgence in an otherwise stagnant game. It bridges the gap until the Re-Up Gang’s official release on Sony/Columbia Records, due in summer 08. To up the ante, fans can download either of two versions: one that’s solely music, and another hosted by blockheater DJ Drama. The tape sans Drama was previously streamed via the Re-Up website, but come Tuesday night, fans can visit www.reupgangrecords.net and actually download We Got it 4 Cheap entirely free of charge.

The Clipse Move To Sony Records

Platinum-selling rap duo the Clipse have inked a deal with Rick Rubin at Sony/Columbia Records. The move cements Columbia 's commitment to a growing urban music roster that includes global phenoms Beyoncé, Prince and Three 6 Mafia. Under the legendary auspices of Rubin, who personally sanctioned the deal, and the fittingly-named A&R rep Hip-Hop--think Jay-Z, Kanye West, —the Clipse are poised to deliver a lethal dose of their ironic, intoxicating mix of metaphor and message.
